The Patriots confirmed the news on their Twitter feed and added that Brady was not hospitalized and was expected to be at Gillette Stadium for meetings and practice on Thursday.
WEEI-AM cited sources in its initial report Thursday morning as saying Brady was "shaken" after the serious two-car accident that occurred near his home in the Back Bay section of Boston.
The Patriots open the 2010 season on Sunday at home against Cincinnati.
