Anderson and the Sens will try to snap their season-high six-game slide this evening. The Canadiens had lost three straight -- all in regulation -- before notching a 3-0 win Sunday against visiting Winnipeg. Carey Price stopped 23 shots for his third shutout of the season and Tomas Plekanec had a goal and an assist in the triumph.
Max Pacioretty and Alexei Emelin both scored for the Canadiens, who are 12 points out of a playoff spot in the East.
The Habs are just 10-11-7 as the host this year and are completing a three- game homestand tonight.
The Caps have a strong 18-7-1 record on home ice this year, while Florida is just 11-11-4 as the guest.
The Panthers had won their first two games following the All-Star break before getting slammed Saturday in Tampa. The Lightning rode a hat trick from Martin St. Louis en route to the decisive 6-3 victory.
